OrbitWhale VPN

Protect your internet traffic and enhance privacy by connecting to the OrbitWhale VPN. Our service uses WireGuard® for lightweight, high-performance encryption across all supported platforms.

How the VPN Works

When you connect to OrbitWhale VPN, your traffic is encrypted and routed through one of our regional servers.

This setup ensures that your traffic is securely tunneled without revealing your device’s network location. Each connection is isolated and does not expose other clients’ information.

Connecting Your Device

To use the VPN, install the WireGuard® client on your device and configure it with the provided configuration file or QR code. The configuration points to the correct regional endpoint and sets up a private network between your device and our servers.

  • Default VPN port: 51820
  • Protocol: UDP
  • IPv4/IPv6 supported

Once configured, all traffic from your device is routed through the VPN, keeping your connection encrypted and private.

Verifying Your Connection

Before using the VPN, confirm that your client can reach the endpoints:

curl -X GET https://api.orbitwhale.com/v1/vpn/metrics?region=sfo2-01

A successful response indicates that the VPN server is reachable and operational. Metrics returned include aggregated data usage and interface status without revealing peer-specific details.

Privacy and Security

OrbitWhale VPN is designed with privacy in mind:

  • No logging of individual client IPs
  • Aggregate usage metrics only
  • Secure, modern encryption (WireGuard®)

Your traffic remains private from public networks, including unsecured Wi-Fi such as in cafes or shared housing networks.

Supported Platforms

OrbitWhale VPN supports:

  • iOS and iPadOS (via WireGuard app)
  • macOS
  • Windows
  • Linux
  • Android

Configuration can be delivered via QR codes, configuration files, or programmatically through our internal API for authorized devices.

Summary

OrbitWhale VPN provides a reliable, high-speed, and privacy-focused VPN solution. By connecting to region-specific endpoints, you ensure that your traffic remains encrypted and protected, while you retain full control over your network routing.
